BIS is being supported by The International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD), IICD assists developing countries to realise locally owned sustainable development by harnessing the potential of information and communication technologies (ICTs). IICD philosophy is that ICTs are tools that can contribute to sustainable development and poverty alleviation.
IICD works with its partner organisations in helping local stakeholders to assess the potential uses of ICTs in development and strengthen the capacities of the local partners to formulate, implement and manage development policies and projects that make use of ICTs.
